Norway is a country of great mountains and fjords, forests and deep valleys.
Tourists flock here - and for good reason: Norway has been called one of the most beautiful countries in the world!
However, wild nature and rugged landscapes can present challenges for mobile coverage in certain places. But with Mycall, you'll always have great coverage!
We use the Telia mobile network, which ensures superior mobile phone coverage, capacity, speed and stability. Telia has also made a huge investment in 5G development. By the end of 2023, Telia will be the first provider in Norway with a nationwide 5G network. Half of all Norwegians enjoyed 5G coverage as early as 2021.
With the 5G, we´ve included more data in our mobile plans. Whether you need to call within or outside the EU, you can buy up to 50GB data.
So... where to go? Pack your bags, fasten your seat belts, and get your phone ready, because we'll take you on a journey!
The Atlantic Ocean Road
A spectacular stretch of road on the west coast, north of Molde, the Atlantic Ocean Road is regularly recommended in global travel guides. Here, you will get up close and personal with Norwegian coastal nature at its purest, and make unforgettable memories on a road trip. Snap away and film some of the most Instagram-worthy scenery in the world for your social media feed or friends and family.

There are many great places to stop along the way, but watch out for the sea spray! On rough weather days, the waves can be blown onto the road. Other great drives include Trollstigen (“Trolls' Path”), the Helgeland coast, Lom and Åndalsnes, Lofoten, Villmarksveien (“Wilderness Road”) in Østfold, and the coastline of Southern Norway. But in fact, it's beautiful everywhere…
Hiking and mountains
Norway has many spectacular nature experiences to offer, such as Trolltunga (“Troll Tongue”), Vøringsfossen Waterfall and Kjerag. Preikestolen (“Pulpit Rock”) (pictured) is a mountain plateau near Lysefjord, inland from Stavanger. It is among the most famous tourist attractions in Norway, and both CNN and Lonely Planet call it one of the world’s greatest nature experiences.

You will need to prepare for a 2-3 hour uphill hike before reaching the top. If you want to experience more places in Norway by car, you'll easily be able to find your way with great coverage and GPS on your mobile phone.
The extraordinary Norwegian Fjords
The Geirangerfjord (pictured) is a picturesque fjord inland from Aalesund. Snowy peaks and steep mountains are visible from the lush, green banks of the fjord, even in the middle of summer.
The unique nature and the emerald green water make Geiranger a popular travel destination for arrival by cruise ship or car. Norwegian nature at its best. Other beautiful fjords that you shouldn't miss include Lysefjord, Aurlandsfjord, Hardangerfjord and Trollfjord in Northern Norway.

Fishing experiences
Norway is a paradise for those who love fishing. Whether you prefer standing on the rocks and fishing in the ocean, or hiking into the mountains or forest to lakes and rivers, there are great fishing opportunities everywhere. Ocean fishing is free, but freshwater fishing often requires the purchase of a fishing license. One of the places to buy a license is at: https://www.inatur.no/om/fiskekort.

The Northern Norway
Yes, indeed, we are devoting a separate paragraph to this region. If you have the chance, Northern Norway is not to be missed!
Home to a lot of the purest nature, the best fishing options, the most beautiful coastal landscapes, and the most unique towns. These include fishing villages in Lofoten, the Træna archipelago, the mountain and coastal areas by Brønnøysund, the breathtaking Andøya, the mountain plateaus in Finnmark, and last but not least, Nordkapp – the northernmost point of the country.

Here you can frolic in breathtakingly spectacular, picturesque landscapes, and experience the beauty. If you check out our coverage map, you'll see that Mycall also has great coverage in the Northern parts of Norway!
How do I use 5G?
If you want to use 5G on your mobile phone, the first thing you need is a 5G phone, or a mobile phone that supports 5G technology. In addition, 5G mobile coverage must also be available where you are living or staying. An overview of the 5G development plan is available here. Also, make sure that you've updated your phone, and if you have an iPhone, you need to enable 5G yourself under “Settings.”
If your mobile phone doesn’t support 5G, you might want to take a look at our online store. Here, you can choose from many different models that support 5G. Some customer favorites are featured below.
5G phones – our recommendations
