Can I send SMS/MMS to all countries?

You can send SMS/MMS to most international operators. Contact us if you have questions regarding a specific operator or country.

Not receiving SMS from foreign banks

There could be two main reasons why you are not receiving SMS from foreign banks:

  • Sender's Restrictions: The foreign bank may have restrictions on which countries or mobile operators they send SMS to.
  • Bank's SMS Provider: Some banks use third-party providers to send SMS, and these providers might have issues delivering messages to certain countries or operators.

Contact the bank and confirm that they are sending messages to your country and mobile operator.

Cannot send MMS

  • Turn your phone off and on again (this can often resolve the issue).
  • Check that your phone settings are correct. You can find the automatic setup here.
  • If you have a smartphone, remember that mobile data and data roaming need to be activated to send MMS (MMS cannot be sent via Wi-Fi).

If you are experiencing issues or problems with BankID, you mainly need to contact your bank for troubleshooting.

For general information about BankID, visit the BankID website BankIDs hjemmeside.

Some things can be checked first to rule out potential problems:

  • Do you have a SIM card that supports BankID?
If your SIM card does not support BankID, we will send you a new one for free. Contact our customer service to order a new SIM card.
  • Have you received a new SIM card?
You need to reactivate BankID in your online banking after changing your SIM card.
  • Have you unlocked your phone?
If the screen lock or screen saver on your phone is active, it may cause BankID to not work.
  • Have you tried restarting your phone?
Restarting your phone can resolve many technical issues, including those with BankID.
  • Have you recently been transferred from another operator?
If you have recently been transferred to us, you also received a new SIM card, and the service needs to be activated again in your online banking.
  • Have you entered the wrong PIN/password for BankID?
You will receive an error message "ID-PIN blocked," and you need to contact your bank to resolve this.

If you have contacted your bank and they claim there are no issues with their systems, you can contact Mycall customer service for assistance.

When abroad, you must dial 0047 or +47 before the Norwegian number you are trying to call, regardless of whether the person you are calling is in Norway or not.

Make sure you have selected automatic network selection and try restarting your phone.

Check that you have the correct APN.

APN (Access Point Name) is the address your phone uses to access data traffic. If no APN is specified, it will usually still work in Norway. However, abroad, you will not be able to connect to the internet without the APN being set to "internet." Therefore, it is very important to check your phone settings, even if it worked in Norway.
