Mycall helps you getting started with BankID

BankID is Norway's digital identity online. You use it for your tax return, NAV, Altinn, online banking and most public services in Norway. It is your personal electronic ID, as valid as a physical passport when you log in or sign something digitally.

For many people new to Norway, getting a BankID can feel like a high barrier. Usually it requires you to show up in person at a bank with Norwegian ID and a national identity number.

As a Mycall customer, you can activate BankID directly in the Mycall app, without the usual procedures.

What you can do with BankID

Once you have BankID in place, a whole world of Norwegian digital services opens up. You can file your tax return, apply for public benefits, sign contracts digitally and log into your online bank. Everything that requires secure identification in Norway is usually done with BankID.

Security is our number one priority!

Mobile BankID is protected by your own PIN code. It can be used to securely pay bills, shop online, transfer money, as well as for identification purposes - the same services performed with online banking. The advantage is that you can do this anywhere, whether you are out traveling, without access to your computer, or if you are simply unable to find your code generator.

To set up a Norwegian bank account and get a BankID, you need to have a D-number and a SIM card, so these things have to be organized first. Once these are in place, setting up a bank account is easy and can be done online.

BankID is free to use. There are no costs when you verify your identity or sign something digitally as a Mycall customer.
